Learn how to navigate through the Billet dashboard
We'll get familiar with the Billet dashboard, where you will be managing your program journey.
We'll touch on:
When you've completed your onboarding you will be redirected to your dashboard where you'll be able to manage your journey on Billet.
You'll be able to see your "Talent Tag" which corresponds to the role you will be upskilling in. Your talent tag is very important as it will allow you to know which projects are a good fit your you. If you'd like to change this tag, please contact or message us on Slack and we'll be in touch.
We'll touch on projects in the next lessons.
We never want you to feel alone in your journey, which is why we've added status updates.
This will allow you to know how other users are doing in their journey's. If you'd like to engage further with users, please make use of our Discord Community or Slack Channels.
As a student you are required to keep time on tasks you've worked on as you can use these hours as prove for Work Integrated Learning and this is a great way to see what you've spent the most time on. We'll touch more on Time tracking in another lesson.
This is where you will find access to all features depending on your membership plan.
Billet allows you to work on projects generated under simulated companies. The purpose of these companies is to give you the feel of working for an actual organization with their individual company cultures.
Please do remember simulated companies are not real companies they exist only for the purposes of completing your projects, as most projects will require you to adhere to a simulated companies brand guidelines.
We'll touch more on simulated companies in another lesson.
Through your dashboard you will be able to update your profile picture and email address, manage your subscriptions. Simply click on your name on your dashboard to have access to your profile settings.
We do not recommend changing your First Name and Last Name as these need to be accurate for the recommendation letter you will receive on completion of a project.
The discord community is a crucial part of completing your projects. The community is where you will submit your final project for peer-to-peer review, you'll be able to get feedback from other students, explain your thought process and gain valuable insights from your peers.
